Design Build

As architects I think it is important to understand how projects come together, and to be able to express our ideas to clients and professionals of different trades. Having worked for a design build and done projects of my own, I have learned to wear different hats. I have not only been a designer but also a contractor, and been in charge of creating detailed bids and contracts.

I have 8 years of very unique experience and my excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with my project management experience and extensive knowledge of the design and construction process, make me a well rounded creative.

In my career thus far I have purposely sought out challenges that continue to shape me into the architect and person I aspire to be. Working overseas taught me to be subjective and receptive in both life and the workplace. Working at a design/build has given me an appreciation for the construction process and a respect for all trades involved. Working for Rafael Viñoly has taught me patience and a better understanding of handling high profile clients and projects. And finally, my most recent position as Project Manager at S9 Architecture has furthered my construction administration knowledge and provided great opportunity to further develop client relation skills.
