Project Manager.
For Park Liberty North, I was a lead in the construction administration. I believe it’s important for an architect to know how buildings are constructed and this project allowed me to be on the ground with various tradesman implementing the design vision. I was one of two main points of communication between the contractor, the client, and our design team. I was responsible for balancing a wide variety of needs, problemsolving on the go, and ensuring the project was progressing smoothly.
Responsibilities:
+ Communication with clients, contractor and project director.
+ Responding to RFIs and submittals
+ Coordination with MEP, Structural, Lighting and all other consultants including interiors.
+ Sending updated sketches and/or bulletins.
Project by S9 Architecture.
I have 8 years of very unique experience and my excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with my project management experience and extensive knowledge of the design and construction process, make me a well rounded creative.
In my career thus far I have purposely sought out challenges that continue to shape me into the architect and person I aspire to be. Working overseas taught me to be subjective and receptive in both life and the workplace. Working at a design/build has given me an appreciation for the construction process and a respect for all trades involved. Working for Rafael Viñoly has taught me patience and a better understanding of handling high profile clients and projects. And finally, my most recent position as Project Manager at S9 Architecture has furthered my construction administration knowledge and provided great opportunity to further develop client relation skills.
